off on a vintage hunt road trip with my best friend Heather:) we are so excited! it is sometimes hard matching up our busy schedules to go, but it's always worth the wait. we both run our own businesses and are 120% dedicated to them!! we both LOVE what we do. sorry about the silence...its been crazy fun busy around these parts!!

lots of family holiday fun....lots of vintage finds...Jake and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary this month..went to a B&B called the Sugar Tree Inn...here in VA. amazing food, lovely service...wonderful in every way! I have been brainstorming alot about the new year and what is to come. Both shops are busy and doing wonderful thanks to all my AMAZING supportive customers who I love so much!!! i have a TON of shoes....boots, heels, flats...i love them....i am talkin every color....it makes or breaks the outfit....i love wearing a pair of jeans (with holes of course) and bright kelly green flats...one of my favorite places to get shoes has to be Urban Outfitters....i usually try and snag em on sale...and i also of course have a stock pile of vintage ones;)

heyyyy!! its been so long!! so sorry!! wow! what a week...well, what a couple of weeks!! its been fun and i am so excited about fall!!! we are remodeling our yard and our dining room, living room & kids rooms! yes, all at once. i am a little crazy like that!! dining room is done almost...all walls are bright yellow, with my new blue 50s table...also with Andy Warhol art work. living room now has a huge, soft olive green shag rug....and we are painting it peach! kids rooms are next...painting Adelies room bubble gum pink tomorrow:) then Gradys will be a deep, warm blue!! :)))

i love it. bathroom is allll done too. all tiled up and all new goodies in there. i love my new fountain faucet too ;) its all about the little things, ya know:) anyways, i am beyond blessed. God is SO good, ya'll!!! shop is stocked! just brought in 100 lovely dresses ....also etsy dresses coming this week!!! tonight, i spent relaxing with my best friend Heather ...we drank wine and ate peanut butter oatmeal choc chip cookies that we made!! its nice to have someone you can be totally yourself around without them judging you! thats her!

oh and if i havent mentioned it, i am LOVING fall!!!

the kids like to help me when i am out taking my photos...they were running around and excited about the choc chip peanut butter cookies in the oven...waiting patiently for mommy to finish. its been a busy, fun week. Adelie had ballet & tap...a field trip to the Fire Department that i went on...a photo shoot with TONS of new dresses for etsy ;) (coming soon!!) also about 100 new dresses/skirts/coats coming to local shop THIS Friday that i finally got all priced and ready to go!! :))) a BIG shopping trip for the shop next Friday & Adelie is coming with me this time!! ....my life is full and blessed & i am enjoying each and every moment God is giving me...after this picture, the cookies were coming out of the oven, we made a little package for our neighbor who is an older man who gets around the best he can...the kids took him the cookies and gave him hugs. it made my heart happy:)

Hey friends!

Sorry its been a week or so since I have posted anything...Adelie started kindergarten (i know, crazy)..Grady is starting preschool...we remodeled our bathroom...a GREAT friend of ours, Dale Smith died on Saturday....and its Adelie's birthday tomorrow!! crazy emotional week!

I would like to say this about Dale...what a great guy!! Full of life...full of love..AMAZING husband, father and friend. A man that will be truly missed. I can't say enough good things about him!!

Adelie, my little lovely, caring, darling gal is turning 5 tomorrow....I have LOTS of fun planned....I love birthdays (and well, all holidays)...so its a big deal in our family!! We go overboard in some peoples eyes...but to us, its normal!!

yesterday at church i rededicated my life to Christ. i know some of you may be of different religions or none at all. and that's ok. i am not here to convert you...just being real about who i am.

my life has been completely changed because of God. the person i once was..and who i am now...all because of Him. He has done alot of work in my life over the last year. alot of challenges personally, physically, emotionally. my marriage almost fell apart. many obstacles and many dark nights.

yesterday was a new day for me. i have felt a bit lost.... you know what i mean? that feeling of being alone? depressed? dark? i felt it. alot of the time. and no one knew.

i dont know why i am telling you all of this, but i felt i should. life is only a minute away from change. you may be right in the middle of Gods plan for your life and you don't even know it. you are not alone. you are not abandoned. its true.

yesterday was a day of renewal and a breath of new life. today i am refreshed and i feel better than i have in months. i went on my run yesterday and felt like a million bucks! i sound nuts don't i? well i can guarantee i am a normal gal, a little nutty, a mom, a wife, a business owner, a woman with a dream, i have forgiven those who have wronged me, i dont judge others no matter who they are, i know love is all we have, i am a kook, i like to take risks, i am bold, i am not afraid to live my life as it should be.

no more hiding in the dark.

wow!! a GREAT week! busy busy busy but great!! about 200 pieces of clothing ..along with shoes, boots, heels, purses, jewelry & housewares all came to the local shop here in Staunton yesterday...i had so much stuff..it took 5 hours to unload and get it all in there! i enjoyed every second! the photo shoot for the etsy shop was last week & went great...about 50 new dresses coming to etsy shop between this week and next...i am having a ball! i LOVE what i do & love every minute...the digging, the late nights pricing everything...the organizing... the photo sessions ...thanks to Heather Underwood of Dream a Little Dream Photography & most importantly...giving my customers a great deal & a smile on their faces.... its all my dream come true:)

hey ya'll!! sorry i havent written in over a week!! crazy week last week!! summer is fun & super busy!! well, i threw a BIG ol birthday bash for Jake (27) and Grady (3)...it was AWESOME! lots of wonderful people, good music...i baked & had a ball....nutella cookies...cake pops....yummy punch, cuc & mozerella wraps, etc! it was a blast! plus people brought food! my best friend Heather Underwood made a ninja turtle cake (my boys love some ninja turtles)..everyone ate that one and left mine alone...and i dont blame them either...it was adorable!!!

oh.. about the blue hair?!! ...i have wanted to dye it blue since high school & thought..why not?!! i went for it and guess what??! i LIKE it!!! it is so fun! this town needs a little more "outside the box" thinking anyways:)
